DESCRIPTION:As the 2008 European Capital of Culture\, Liverpool offers all congress participants a vibrant and exciting venue in which to gather\, share ideas\, and build and strengthen connections. \nLiverpool has recently undergone considerable development to welcome international visitors\, and host world-class events and entertainment. It is a truly diverse city\, with a rich history in popular music\, the oldest Chinese communities in Europe\, UNESCO world heritage status for its maritime history\, impressive architecture\, more museums and galleries than any other UK city outside London\, and two premier league football teams. \nLiverpool is one of the most accessible cities in the UK\, served by Liverpool John Lennon Airport and with London only two hours away by train. Manchester International Airport which has global connections is also only an hour on the train.
